In short
- The City of Children and Youth is an experience museum for children from 2 to 12, built around the five senses: hearing, touch, sight, taste and smell. There is no fixed route and no time limit, and the visit takes about 2 hours.
- Book a day and a time slot in advance. At weekends and in the school holidays tickets often sell out, so it is better not to wait.
- Children under 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult, and you cannot leave them alone. The ticket office is the same as the Aquarium's.
- Open every day: from 9:30 to 17:30 from September to June, with last entry at 15:30. Short on time? Choose the museum ticket. Spending the day on the Porto Antico? Choose the combined ticket with the Aquarium.
Four rooms for four senses
There is a Hearing Room, a Touch Room, a Sight Room and a Taste and Smell Room. Each one is a multisensory room, and you can visit them in any order.
The House Under Construction
A building site in miniature where children move soft foam materials with wheelbarrows, cranes and a conveyor belt. The upper floor is only for children under 120 centimetres.
Splash!, the playground for ages 2 to 4
The youngest have a playground of their own, and they enter it without shoes. In the rest of the museum you can keep your shoes on. A cafe called Fuori Bordo is next to the playground.
